Capsule: Santa Rosa Beach is the largest of the beaches of South Walton, a 200-mile stretch of tall, powdery-white dunes, crystalline gulf waters, stands of pine forest, marshlands, bays, and backwater bayous. Culture: Antique shops and art galleries are the primary cultural attractions found along the beaches of South Walton. But a variety of performances --- highlighted by Seven Days of Opening Nights, Florida State University’s festival of the fine and performing arts -- can be found in the state capital of Tallahassee about an hour's drive away.
